The Service Employees Staff Union (SESU) is a Chicago based staff union of approximately 40 administrative staff, organizers, representatives, data experts, communications specialists and more. We are a direct-action minded Staff Union that has been fighting for the rights and benefits of the workers who make unions run for decades. In 2020, SESU unanimously voted to affiliate with Chicago News Guild, with the goal of connecting to a broader network of resources and independent bargaining units with common issues and interests. SESU intends to continue to improve the labor movement by participating in the broader vision of CNG through engagement, coalition building, and direct action.
