SEIU Local 1 is based out of Chicago and has close to 100 staff members who work in 10 cities in five states including Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio. We became represented by CNG starting in 2013. 

Our staff fights everyday for better wages, benefits, and working conditions for our members who are janitorial workers, airport workers, window washers, security officers, school service workers, maintenance workers, door staff, and more.

Our staff and our members are working to improve economic justice, environmental issues, racial justice rights, immigrant justice rights, etc. None of it is easy but it has to be done, so we work together to fight the good fight!!
