CNG Joins Petition Calling For Special Prosecutor- Says State’s Attorney Turned ‘Blind Eye’ To ICE Abuses

Yesterday afternoon, more than thirty community organizers and faith leaders gathered at Federal Plaza to hold a press conference about the petition calling for a special prosecutor in the investigation of Midway Blitz. Nearly 250 people back the petition, which says a special prosecutor is needed because Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke has failed to act. She called the demands “frivolous” and said she “will strenuously oppose this petition.”
