9/7/12:

• On July 1st, staff received their salary step increases, ending a six-month pay freeze.
• The first hearing day was held in an arbitration regarding the denial of a voluntary transfer request by a unit member. Additional hearing dates are scheduled for December.
• A joint Evaluation Committee has begun work on developing a progressive professional growth process, where essentially no process currently exists; it is anticipated that the Committee will conclude its work within the next six months.
