READER FREED!

After months of pressure co-owner of the Chicago Reader, Leonard Goodman, agreed to end the standoff and sign-off on the sale allowing the publication to transition to a not-for-profit status.

Congratulations to members of the Reader Unit who stood up and defended the integrity of their work and fought to save a 50-year-old cultural treasure that is the Chicago Reader.

Thanks to all our union brothers and sisters who supported the Guild in their efforts to save jobs and keep independent journalism alive.

When we fight, we win.
