On Saturday, Sept. 7, several Chicago Newspaper Guild members, photographers and supporters leafleted an upscale charity gala. Wrapports’ venture Splash was listed as an event sponsor, so Guild members distributed free literature about Sun-Times’ parent company’s chairman Michael Ferro.
A crew of about seven Guild members participated in Frankfort’s annual Labor Day parade on Sunday, Sept. 1. Guild members distributed candy and flyers to hundreds of people lining the streets.
